Ratzon is currently trying to raise $50,000 for our next fiscal year in order to support the hiring of two new staff members and development of new programs.
When you make a donation, your money goes to:
Paying two staff members (who, combined, are queer, trans, chronically ill, disabled, and neurodivergent) allowing them to receive a living wage doing meaningful work within their community
Free community programming
A paid Zoom account with automated captioning to allow us to offer online and hybrid events
Rent for our physical community center space
Supplies for our events, such as printed texts, ritual items, and snacks
N95 and KN95 masks and sanitation supplies to help us reduce or prevent the spread of COVID-19 at in-person events
Paying stipends to our guest teachers and project leaders
Improving our indoor space and allowing us to develop and furnish an outdoor space for gatherings and prayer services
Improving future accessibility: If we raise enough, we could start looking into wheelchair-accessible spaces, offering ASL interpretation and/or human-generated live captions, high-quality air filters, etc.
Soft lighting sources, like string lights, hanging lanterns, or lamps
Email ratzonpgh@gmail.com if you have something you'd like to donate.
Ratzon creates community with Jewish ritual, discussions, resource distribution and youth programming. We are excited to continue upbuilding queer Jewish life in Pittsburgh.
Will you help us continue our work? Your donation helps us pay rent, buy books, stock food and continue supporting one another through all of the ups and downs. Consider becoming a monthly supporter. A donation of $1 a month or more helps us grow Ratzon together.
